Jane Seymour to host Hall of Fame banquet

HIGH POINT - Actress, author, artist and designer Jane Seymour will host the 22nd American Furniture Hall of Fame Induction Banquet here on Oct. 17, during the High Point Market.
"It will be an honor to be in the company of such creative people who have inspired me to work in an industry that I love, which has made such an impact on our daily lives," said Seymour, who has teamed with AICO CEO Michael Amini to create a licensed furniture line for that company.
Industry Fellows who will be recognized at the banquet for their exceptional leadership, accomplishments and contributions to the industry are Gerald Birnbach, retired Rowe Furniture president; the late Manuel Capó, founder of Miami Gardens, Fla.-based El Dorado Furniture; 19th century furniture designer and builder Thomas Day; Darrell and Stella Harris, owners of High Point-based Furnitureland South; Michael and George Massood, executives at MGM Transport and also Thomasville and Bassett stores in New Jersey; and artist and furniture designer Bob Timberlake.
Inductees into the Hall of Fame, chosen from that group, will be announced at the banquet.
