NHFA seeks Retailer of Year nominations by Oct. 1

Awards to be presented in large, small categories

HIGH POINT — The National Home Furnishings Assn. is accepting nominations for its 2011 Retail of the Year awards through Oct. 1.

The awards, presented annually during the spring High Point Market, recognize outstanding contributions to the home furnishing industry, exemplary community service and personal business achievements.

One award will go to a retailer with annual sales under $10 million and the other to a retailer doing $10 million or more. Candidates must be nominated by active industry members and must be stocking dealers or employed by a store selling furniture to consumers on a day-to-day basis, NHFA said.
