SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.— Consumers can now keep up with Ashley Furniture HomeStores via its new Facebook page and Twitter account, part of the retailer's push into the social networking world.Digital marketing agency iCrossing has developed the program for Ashley. Consumers will be able to see the latest styles, receive design tips and decorating ideas, and learn more about current promotions, offers, community events, news and more.

"Now we will be able to collaborate with our customers on new ideas for promotions, community events and charity fundraising."
Ashley said it will donate 25 cents to City of Hope for every "like" its Facebook page receives by Sept. 20, with a maximum donation of $10,000. City of Hope is a research and treatment facility for patients with cancer, diabetes and other illnesses.
ICrossing also is helping Ashley connect to consumers through digital strategies including search engine optimization, paid search, creative development and display advertising.
