MEBANE, N.C. — Sleep to Live, a division of Top 10 bedding producer Kingsdown, is opening a manufacturing plant in Stockton, Calif., next month. It will be the company's first factory in the state.
The 50,000-square-foot facility will open in mid-October and is expected to be fully operational by the end of November.
"The new Sleep to Live facility in Stockton helps us provide even faster service and fulfillment for our growing brands on the West Coast," said Eric Hinshaw, Kingsdown chairman and CEO. "Through this distribution hub, we can deliver our high quality, personalized Sleep to Live products to more retailers in a region where we are expanding our presence and responding to consumer demand."
The company expects to employ between 30 and 35 full-time staff at the new facility.
Kingsdown, based in Mebane, currently operates five domestic and two international manufacturing facilities.
