LENOIR, N.C. — Fairfield Chair Co. has hired veteran industry executive David Blair as vice president of sales for its residential division.
Fairfield has restructured its organization to create two divisions, for residential and contract. Mark Craven, who had been the lone vice president of sales, has been named vice president of sales for the manufacturer's growing Fairfield Contract division.
Blair most recently was senior vice president of sales and marketing at high-end manufacturer Century Furniture for the past 10 years. Earlier, he was a sales representative for bedding major Simmons Co. and Henredon Furniture.
Fairfield officials said the company will draw on Blair's sales and customer relations experience and expertise to help it expand its dealer base domestically and internationally.
Craven has been with Fairfield for five years. He had several years of experience as a sales representative before stepping into his management role.
Blair and Craven report to company President Dick Posey.
Fairfield, whose product line includes upholstered furniture, casual dining and occasional, has been in business since 1921 and is still owned and managed by the founding family.
