HIGH POINT — Social events set for the High Point Market will offer many chances to relax and meet with peers. Events happening on multiple days are listed first and those taking place on single days follow.

Saturday, Oct. 16-Thursday, Oct. 21
8-10 am. - Complimentary buyers breakfast. C&D Bistro

Saturday, Oct. 16-Wednesday, Oct. 20
8-10 a.m. - Complimentary buyers breakfast. Atrium on Main, Ellington's Bistro

8:30-10 a.m. - Buyers breakfast. Showplace, Atrium

11 a.m.-2 p.m. - Complimentary buyers lunch. Atrium on Main, Ellington's Bistro

4-5 p.m. -Afternoon social. C&D, all floors

4- 6 p.m. - Accessory floor parties. IHFC, Accessory floors 2, 3, 4

4:30-6:30 p.m. - Market Square & Suites and SALON Receptions at various locations throughout the Market Square Complex.

Saturday, Oct. 16-Tuesday, Oct. 19
8:30-10 a.m. - Champagne breakfast. 200 N. Hamilton, Courtyard

4-6 p.m. - Complimentary wine and cheese. Atrium on Main, Ellington's Bistro

6- 8 p.m. - Sunset of 3 afternoon social. Showplace, 3rd floor balcony


Sunday, Oct. 17-Wednesday, Oct. 20
8 a.m.-6 p.m. - IFDA Hospitality Suite is open to all International Furnishings and Design Assn. members and those interested in joining. Use the hospitality suite to relax and recharge, take meetings, as a quiet space to work, or to meet colleagues. IFDA is open to all professionals in the home furnishings and home decor industries. Membership information can be obtained at the hospitality suite. 200 Steele, 1st floor


Sunday, Oct. 17-Tuesday, Oct. 19

4-6 p.m. - Pavilions beach parties in the IHFC, Pavilions on Main 3

 

Friday, Oct. 15

5:30 p.m. - Official Kick-off Party. Presented by Furniture/Today, High Point Market and the International Home Furnishings Center. IHFC, Commerce Lobby


Saturday, Oct. 16
11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. - Complimentary buyers lunch with NY Pizza. Hamilton Square, Courtyard

4-6 p.m. - Stirring Excitement martini parties at InterHall, IHFC 1st floor

5-7 p.m. - It Takes a Community network mixer with conversation, wine and hors d'oeuvres in the Phillips Collection showroom, IHFC C-202. Sponsored by five industry associations - WithIt, a women's leadership development network; the Sustainable Furnishings Council, the Young Home Furnishings Professionals, the Accessories Resource Team and the American Society of Furniture Designers.

6 p.m.-9:30 p.m. - American Furniture Hall of Fame induction banquet. 2010 nominees are Gerald Birnbach, Manuel Capó, Thomas Day, Darrell and Stella Harris, Michael and George Massood, and Bob Timberlake.
