Gary Simms joins Classic Concepts as senior VP of sales
Will oversee national, private label accounts

LOS ANGELES — Gary Simms, a 30-year veteran of the furniture and home décor industries, has joined case goods, rugs and home décor resource Classic Concepts as senior vice president of sales, a new position.
He was most recently at home accessories and furniture importer Imax Worldwide Imports, where he had been national accounts manager since 2006. Earlier, he held executive sales positions at home furnishings and home accents importers Toyo Trading Co. and Decorize.
"Gary's extensive import background, combined with his team-building mentality and his ‘get results' business approach will definitely enhance our current and future sales growth," said Thomas Andonian, general manager of Classic Home Furniture, the furniture division of Classic Concepts.
Simms reports to Classic Concepts President and CEO Harpal Singh.
As senior vice president of sales, Simms will oversee national accounts and also private label accounts, a relatively new but growing segment of the business, the company said. He also will have a role in private label product development.
While his focus will be on the furniture division, he also will help oversee sales activity on the rugs and home décor side of the business.
At the High Point Market, Classic Home shows in the International Home Furnishings Center, D-1002, and also has a booth in Interhall, IH-409. Its rugs and Villa Home pillows collection are featured in Showplace, space 3326.
