Duane Utt joins Archetype Designs as VP of sales

Peter Mandel named VP of hospitality, contract

LOS ANGELES — Duane Utt has been named vice president of sales of mid-priced to high-end transitional and contemporary upholstery maker Archetype Designs here.

He reports to Braden Richter, the company's CEO.

Utt previously was vice president of sales for Calvin Klein Furniture. In his new role, Utt has already assembled a national sales organization, including 14 sales representatives.

In addition, Archetype has named Peter Mandel as vice president of hospitality and contract. Mandel also has assembled a 15-person sales force and has created a catalog designed for the hospitality segment of the industry.

Both vice president posts are new ones for the company.
