Should be ready by October 2011 market
Larry Thomas -- Furniture Today, October 11, 2010
HIGH POINT — Leather upholstery resource Violino has acquired property in the 100 block of South Hamilton Street here and will soon begin construction on a 30,000-square-foot showroom building. The new showroom, which should be open for the October 2011 market, will allow the company to display a wider selection of its transitional, traditional, contemporary and motion upholstery products, said Mauro Bracciale, the company's president of sales and marketing.
He said design work on the showroom hasn't been finalized, and he isn't certain what will happen with an existing building on the site, which is next door to the Elite Leather showroom at 135 S. Hamilton St. The existing building may be razed, but it also could be renovated and used as part of the new facility, he said.
At this month's market, Violino will again have its showroom in the Market on Green building, Bracciale said.
The company, whose factory is in the south China industrial city of Shenzhen, features sofas that retail for $799 to $2,499.
