Modus Furniture in 50% larger High Point Market space
Will allow company to show more product

HIGH POINT — Case goods manufacturer Modus Furniture has moved into a High Point Market showroom that is about 50% larger than its previous space here.
Modus is occupying 12,000 square feet in the International Home Furnishings Center, space C-601.
"The new showroom gives us the ability to present more products to more retailers, which is the right move now that our production capacity is approaching 200 containers per month," said Modus President Oliver Wong. He said the company's bedroom plant in Surabaya, Indonesia, has undergone more than $1 million in improvements in the past five years.
In addition to a full kitchen area, the new showroom has a conference room and offices for its reps.
At the market, which opens Saturday, Modus is introducing about seven new transitional bedrooms, four dining rooms and three media console lines. Four-piece bedrooms retail from $999 to $1,999, and five-piece casual dining sets from $599 to $999.
Jon Lannertone, company sales manager, said, "When we saw this location, we knew right away it was the right move for us. The new showroom provides us more space to display our growing product line and the location makes it easier for dealers to shop us."
