MORRISTOWN, Tenn. — Motion upholstery major Berkline has hired Tony Cantrell for the newly created position of vice president of national accounts.
Cantrell has more than 25 years of experience in the furniture industry, largely in merchandising and sales posts.
Most recently, he was vice president and national sales manager at Victory Land Group, a designer and marketer of products in several home products categories. Earlier, he was managing partner and senior vice president at VDG Inc., and vice president of merchandising and imports at case goods and upholstery resource Aspenhome.
"We're excited about having Tony lead Berkline's national accounts team," said Berkline CEO Rob Burch. "He has a deep background in the furniture industry that will support what is already a terrific sales team, and allow us to provide our national accounts with an enhanced level of service and resources."
In an unrelated move, longtime Berkline executive Grey Hunsucker has left the company. He had worked for the company for 16 years and was vice president of sales.
Burch said a search for Hunsucker's replacement is underway and that he hopes to have the new executive in place in about two weeks.
