"More and more, our customers have been asking for furniture that fits into environments where every square foot of space needs to be maximized," Gus co-owner and lead designer David Podsiadlo said in a statement. "The Loft series fulfills this need in two ways - the pieces are scaled appropriately for urban living, and they can be reconfigured to suit different room layouts."
The series is launching with five new upholstery frames.
The Jane Loft bi-sectional is a city-scaled version of the company's best-selling Jane bi-sectional. Like its larger counterpart, features a repositionable chaise component and button-tufted cushions.
The midcentury-inspired Spencer loft bi-sectional incorporates a chaise with back support that can be positioned on the left or right side of the sofa, or alternately, used apart from the sofa as compact, standalone seating.
The Blake Loft bi-sectional also features a repositionable chaise, and incorporates design details like French seams and a solid ash wood base in natural or wenge finish.
The suggested retail for all three bi-sectionals is US$2,875.
The Blake design will also launch as a city-scaled sofa with a suggested retail of US$1,825, and as a chair, which has a price point of US$1,035.
Gus Design will is offering the Sparrow glider and ottoman, which Podsiadlo describes as a "clean-lined set designed for the modern nursery." With a suggested retail of US$1,599, the glider features a smooth, quiet rocking motion and ergonomic proportions for comfortable neck and arm support.
The Sparrow is offered in two neutral, stain-resistant fabrics and will include a lumbar cushion.
The Gus modern furniture collection is designed in Canada and is sold at more than 150 furniture retailers, including 12 Gus Studio boutiques.
The company's High Point showroom is in space D-508 of the International Home Furnishings Center.
