Mike Stowe joins Glideaway as national sales manager

Rick Snider moves to leadership role in key accounts, merchandising

ST. LOUIS — Glideaway Sleep Products has hired veteran bed frame industry executive Michael Stowe as national sales manager to oversee a recently expanded national sales force. He will focus on growing sales in Glideaway's mattress and sleep accessories product lines.

Stowe most recently was national sales manager at W. Silver, a Texas steel mill that supplies raw material to Glideaway and other customers.

"He brings a unique perspective to the company as he is already familiar with the competitive landscape as well as Glideaway's executive team," said Ron Fredman, executive vice president of sales at Glideaway. "This inside knowledge will offer Michael a great opportunity to expand his portfolio to include mattresses and increase sales in our two core businesses - steel and sleep products."

Stowe said he has "known Ron and Carmi Fredman since 2003 and have watched with great respect as Glideaway expanded from its roots in bed frames to broad based sleep products."

As national sales manager Stowe succeeds Rick Snider, who assumes a new leadership role in the company focusing on key accounts and merchandising.

"As we continue to expand our business portfolio with many of the Top 100 retailers in the U.S. we needed a special team to address the added training, service and merchandising needs these customers require. No one better understands how to meet and exceed these requirements than Rick," said Ron Fredman.
