Orozco leaves Hamilton Spill
Joins new family business called Horizon Home

PHOENIX — Felipe Orozco has resigned as vice president of sales for case goods and upholstery source Hamilton Spill to become senior vice president of a new family business called Horizon Home.
In his new post, Orozco will work closely with company president and brother Ralph Orozco in the merchandising process.
Orozco has worked closely with major retailers over the last 15 years, including Hamilton Spill since 2007.
"I have seen a shift in retailers wishing to diversify their supply chain. Erratic retail has made many dealers re-examine their supply from Asia. I believe the time is perfect for Mexico and Horizon Home to benefit from this," Orozco said.
He added, "And while I don't expect Mexico to replace Asia, I do feel dealers have a kinship to working with North American suppliers when possible. Short lead times and transit times are just some of the many advantages Horizon Home can provide. I also see that consumers are leaning toward more eclectic and mixed media looks, which Mexico has plenty to offer."
Ralph Orozco said his brother's retail experience will complement the company's senior management team, and noted that "his bi-cultural background and familiarity working with Mexican manufacturers is a perfect fit." He said Felipe's understanding of the product category and customer base will be a boost to the company.
