World Imports hires Alan Salmanowitz as VP sales

PHILADELPHIA — Case goods importer World Imports Ltd. has named Alan Salmanowitz as its vice president of sales for its U.S. operations.He comes to the company from Jackson Furniture Inds., where he has worked since 2003, most recently as vice president of sales. He also has worked for retailers including Good's Furniture, Rhodes and Brown Squirrel Furniture.
World Imports said that Salmanowitz's experience in sales training and mentoring will help it bring structure to its aggressive growth plans. The company also said the hiring will allow executive vice president Jeff Wallner to focus on new marketing and product development initiatives.
