NEW YORK — Leggett & Platt CEO David Haffner tells Carol Massar of Bloomberg Television that the company's business is a "mixed bag" these days, with automotive components doing well but housing-related products still lagging.Haffner reviews Leggett's business and its prospects in a six-minute interview recorded this week for Bloomberg's "Street Smart" program.
He notes that residential products, including furniture and bedding components, make up about 60% of the company's business, with bedding alone accounting for 18%. Regarding the timing of a housing recovery, Haffner said: "It will happen. The question now is, is it going to be in 2011 or is it going to be in 2012?"
