Bob Duncan to chair American Home Furnishings Alliance in 2011

HIGH POINT — Bob Duncan, CEO of Dallas-based American Leather, was elected 2011 chairman of the American Home Furnishings Alliance during the organization's annual meeting at the Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain in Scottsdale, Ariz., this month.

Jeff Cook, president of Broyhill Furniture, Lenoir, N.C., has moved to first vice chairman. Wyatt Bassett, president and CEO of Vaughan-Bassett Furniture, Galax, Va., was elected second vice chairman.

John Bray, CEO of Vanguard Furniture, Hickory, N.C., has moved to immediate past chairman of the AHFA Board of Directors. The officers assume their new posts Jan. 1.

Members newly elected to serve three-year terms on the board of directors were Joe Johnston, Johnston Casuals; Bill Wittenberg, Klaussner; Kevin O'Conner, Samson Marketing; Steve Lehman, Smith Bros. of Berne; and Harvey Hollingsworth, The Natural Light.
