Program could help increase your sales
Ray Allegrezza -- Furniture Today, November 24, 2010
If knowledge is power and time is money, then the smartest thing you can do in this trying environment is to invest some time to gain the knowledge needed to grow your business The challenge is to discipline ourselves to take a bit of time from running our business and invest it in something that has the potential to enhance it.
As you know, Furniture/Today routinely hosts industry seminars and conferences to help you do just that. I am just putting the finishing touches on what will be our 14th annual Leadership Conference. We also sponsor a top-notch Bedding Conference.
In keeping with that tradition, on Nov. 9 you are cordially invited to a one-day educational event that is short on your time out of the office and long on content. It will leave you better prepared to boost sales via online technologies. Those include websites, Internet marketing and software-as-aservice technologies that are changing how the home furnishings and gift industries operate.
Penny Schneck, online sales manager for the Furniture/Today Group of Sandow Media, has put together a great program, "Boosting Sales through Online Technologies," which is designed to help retailers and manufacturers better leverage these technologies.
Attendees will hear from industry experts in online marketing, social media, research, mobile and Web development. Panelists from the gift and home furnishings market will share their latest strategies and offer practical advice to their colleagues.
"The objective of this venue is to provide retailers and manufacturers in the home furnishing and gift industries with actionable, real-world tips and ideas that they can use in their businesses," said Schneck.
Critical issues to be covered will include the State of Home Furnishings Online, What Works Online, Five Secrets to Sell More via Targeted Marketing, Social Media and the Real World, and much more.
Additional speakers will present case studies on how they implemented and evaluated the success of their online programs. A detailed agenda, speaker profiles and registration can be found at http:// furnituretodayonline.com/onlinetechconference/.
