Michael Pitman joins Berkline as president of sales
Industry veteran had been with Ashley since 2008

MORRISTOWN, Tenn. — Motion upholstery major Berkline has hired veteran furniture executive Michael Pitman as its president of sales.Pitman had been senior vice president of the case goods division at Ashley since 2008. He earlier was president and CEO of Canadian producer Durham Furniture, and has held a variety of sales management posts with Schnadig and Lexington Home Brands.
"Michael brings an exceptional track record of sales management success and general management experience in the furniture industry to Berkline," said Rob Burch, CEO. "His experience, intellect, work ethic, personal qualities and leadership skills will help us grow our business and support the many positive product and program introductions underway at our company."
Pitman is replacing Grey Hunsucker, who left the company in October.
"I'm looking forward to being a part of the company, and working with its dynamic management team to continue to grow the business," Pitman said.
