Human Touch recognized for massage chair
Will receive award at Consumer Electronics Show

LONG BEACH, Calif. — Human Touch, a supplier of robotic massage chairs and upscale recliners, will be honored at next month's Consumer Electronics Show with the prestigious Innovations Design and Engineering Award.The company was cited for its new AcuTouch 9500 massage chair, which utilizes an iPhone application called HT-Connect and a wireless Bluetooth connection to develop a customized massage for the user.
Show officials said the Human Touch product is one of the honorees in the major home appliances category.
"Human Touch is proud to be recognized as a competitive innovator in the $165 billion U.S. consumer electronics industry," said David Potter, vice president of design.
CES takes place January 6-9 in Las Vegas. Human Touch and many other award winners also will demonstrate their products at a reception at Caesars Palace on Jan. 5.
Human Touch also won an Innovations Award at the 2008 show for a zero-gravity massage chair.
