Gardiners Furniture offers free furniture Super Bowl promotion

Customers will be reimbursed if the opening kickoff is returned for a touchdown

BALTIMORE — Gardiners Furniture is joining the huddle of retailers with promotions tied to the Super Bowl Feb. 6 with a promotion that will give customers their furniture for free - if the opening kickoff is returned for a touchdown.

The giveaway will apply to furniture bought Feb. 2-6. Gardiners also promises heavily discounted prices during its Super Sale.

"It's a win-win for our customers. Not only are they getting the very best price but they have a chance to be reimbursed on their purchase," said Gary Mullaney, president and owner.

Co-owner Greg Mullaney added, "We're sorry the (Baltimore) Ravens are not participating this year but we hope this sales event will foster added excitement to fans viewing the game and give them a high degree of personal interest."

The store said it has taken out an insurance policy to cover the potential cost.

It's not necessary to make a purchase to enter the giveaway, the retailer said. Those who don't make a purchase can submit their contact information to the store, and stand to receive a $50 gift card.
