Wozniak joins IB in new VP-marketing post

WozniakFORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Top 10 bedding producer International Bedding has appointed industry veteran Mark Wozniak to the new position of vice president of marketing.

Wozniak, whose background includes retail and wholesale bedding experience, will be responsible for managing the growth of IB's brands, product development and marketing and new business initiatives, said Jeff Maillet, CEO. He will report to Dan Hige, president and chief operating officer.

"Mark brings to our company a wealth of experience, talent and passion accumulated over his successful career," Hige said. "Having worked with him for several years at Sealy, I'm familiar with his strong grasp of the retail environment resulting from his early experience at Burdines and other Federated divisions. Coupled with his excellent communications skills and appreciation for the value of teamwork, he'll form meaningful relationships not just within our company but with retailers, both of which are essential to our future growth."

Wozniak, who joined IB Jan. 10, will relocate from Greensboro, N.C., to IB's corporate office here.

Before joining IB, Wozniak was Midwest regional vice president of sales for Kingsdown in 2008, and earlier was executive vice president of marketing at Comfort Solutions. From 1996 to 2007 he held a number of key executive sales and marketing posts at Sealy.

Wozniak's retail experience included his role at Burdines from 1988 to 1996 as a group buyer of bedding and floor coverings. He also held several buying and divisional merchandise manager posts at other Federated Department Stores divisions.
