33 mills to show at Toronto Fabric Fair

Seventh semiannual event set for Feb. 15-17

Gary Evans -- Furniture Today, January 31, 2011

TORONTO — Thirty-three mills are scheduled to show their wares during the seventh semiannual Toronto Fabric Fair here Feb. 15-17.

The event will be held at the Paradise Banquet & Convention Centre at 7601 Jane St. in the Toronto suburb of Concord.

Organized by 16 representatives of 41 textile mills, the three-day event is an opportunity for retailers and manufacturers to see some of their latest offerings, many of which were debuted at the International Textile Market Assn.'s Showtime in High Point in December.

Fred Hanes, Canadian representative for Lady Fabrics, said this "Showtime North" has attracted solid attendance over the past seven years. "We're here to accommodate manufacturers unable to make the trip south, thus prompting the mills to band together once again," he said.

Participating mills include Sunbury Textiles, Sunbrella Fabrics, Global Textile Alliance, Diversitex, Carpostan, Direct Textiles, Paragon Fabrics, LaFrance Inds., Se7en, Robert Allen Home, Morgan Fabrics, Master Fabrics, Vision Fabrics (a division of J Ennis Fabrics), Bartson Fabrics, Big Kahuna Home, Golding Fabrics, Erocia Enterprises, King Textiles, The Mitchell Group, Portfolio Textiles, Sattler/OutDura, Gum Tree Fabrics, Annabel, Softline Home, American Century Home, Abercrombie Textiles, Classical Elements, Covington Fabric & Design, Regal Fabrics, Zenda Leather, Valdese Fabrics, Absecon Mills and Lady Fabrics.

For information, contact Hanes at (416) 785-1959 or ladytex@rogers.com.
