Wright of Thomasville to make top-of-bed products in-house

THOMASVILLE, N.C. — Wright of Thomasville says its Showroom Solutions division has begun in-house manufacturing of top-of-bed branding products.
A dozen employees have been hired for the venture at the company's manufacturing complex here.
The Showroom Solutions unit will produce shams, foot protectors and embroidered labels. The company had used a local manufacturer for those products, but much of the manufacturing will now move in house, officials said.
"The bedding industry has become one of the most dynamic segments in the home furnishings industry and we felt that using our own people and equipment to handle these assignments would assure our customers the continued quality, service and value they have come to expect from Wright for the past 50 years," said Greg Wright, president and CEO of Wright.
"Because of changes in the industry, one of the most compelling challenges we wanted to address in the supply chain was the shorter turns many of our clients require today. We can better meet those challenges by having a captive unit only dedicated to the needs of our clients," he said.
Wright said that the in-house manufacturing will make it easier for customers to get a quick turnaround on products and a small production run, if needed.
Wright of Thomasville, still run by the Wright family, provides one-stop, turnkey solutions for its customers' graphic needs.
