HIGH POINT — Full-line manufacturer and importer Klaussner Home Furnishings will open a new permanent showroom in downtown High Point at the spring market here April 2-7.
The company will lease a newly renovated 90,000- square-foot space in the former Hamilton Market building at 101 N. Hamilton St., at the corner of Hamilton and Broad.
The company plans to show its entire line on two floors. The showroom will also have a Klaussner Kafe serving breakfast, lunch and evening cocktails and hors d'oeuvres.
The success of exhibiting in a downtown space last year in the Market on Green showroom helped prompt the move to the new permanent location, officials said. Previously, the company had invited buyers to its headquarters and showroom in Asheboro, N.C.
"Our Asheboro facility has served us well for many years, but the shopping behaviors of buyers have changed and with this new facility we will make it easier and more convenient than ever to shop our entire product assortment all under one roof," Bill Wittenberg, Klaussner president and CEO, said in a press release.
