Dallas Museum of Art honors Gustav Stickley's designs

DALLAS — The Dallas Museum of Art is paying tribute to the work of Gustav Stickley with an exhibit that runs through early May.The exhibit, called Gustav Stickley and the American Arts & Crafts Movement, began Feb. 13 and runs through May 8.
It will feature more than 100 Stickley-designed pieces including furniture, metalwork, lighting and textiles. It also will include drawings and photographs and a re-creation of the dining room from his 1903 Syracuse Arts & Crafts exhibition.
The exhibit premiered at the Newark Museum in September 2010 in conjunction with a centennial celebration of Stickley's New Jersey Home. Following the Dallas run, it will travel to the San Diego Museum of Art.
