Buying Group TBG Meeting in Tupelo

TUPELO, Miss. - TBG - The Buying Giant will meet here for vendor presentations and other work before and during the Tupelo Furniture Market.
     The buying group, with 75 members and 87 stores in a dozen states, will start with a semiannual dinner meeting of the board Wednesday, Feb. 16, at the Tupelo Country Club.
     Larry Stansell, TBG chairman and owner of Trion, Ga.,- based Stansell Furniture, will preside as the group reviews its vendor partner programs, emphasizing new programs with Enso Sleep Systems by Klaussner, LaCrosse, New Classic and Trade Masters. Members also will review TBG's updated website at www.thebuyingiant.com.
     The following day will be devoted to vendor product presentations for members and prospective members in TBG's Tupelo market showroom (space 5022).
     Suppliers presenting products will include Best Sellers, Cal Lighting, Hillsdale, LaCrosse, Med Lift, New Classic, Serta, Symbol Mattress and Trade Masters. Members are invited to breakfast at the Lane showroom at 8 a.m. Thursday for a presentation to the group.
     Also Thursday, TBG will hold a membership dinner in the ballroom of the Tupelo Country Club, where members can network and plan group market visits among other things.
     TBG will staff its showroom through the close of market Feb. 20.
