Leather upholstery importer Era Nouveau makes debut
Will show 25 motion seating groups at High Point Premarket

HIGH POINT — Three upholstery veterans have joined forces to launch a leather upholstery importer that will make its debut at next week's High Point Premarket.
Called Era Nouveau, the new company is the U.S. sales arm of Chinese upholstery manufacturer Greata. It will focus on motion upholstery with sofa price points ranging from $999 to $1,499.
The new venture is headed by Sam Contreras and Nathan Munton, both of whom most recently worked for motion upholstery resource Man Wah Holdings. Joining them is former Natuzzi executive Tom Peper, who is overseeing product design and development.
"This group of seasoned professionals understands the importance of building long-term partnerships through its commitment to innovative product, excellent quality, expedient shipping and delivery, all of which set the groundwork for providing outstanding customer service," Contreras said.
He said the initial product rollout will consist of 25 motion seating groups that will be available through a container-direct program. Most of the groups feature better-quality, top-grain leather covers and power reclining mechanisms.
About half of the new line will be ready for Premarket in the company's showroom in space 20 of Center Point on Centennial. Premarket takes place Feb. 28-March 1.
Contreras said the Greata factory is near Shanghai. A recent expansion boosted its capacity to 400 containers per month, he said.
