Elite Leather moving to IHFC for High Point Market
Larry Thomas -- Furniture Today, March 7, 2011
HIGH POINT — Upper-end leather upholstery resource Elite Leather is moving to a new 16,000-square-foot showroom in the International Home Furnishings Center in time for the April market.
The showroom in space C-661 marks the company's return to the IHFC after a 21-year absence.
In recent years, the company had shown in the PCH building at 135 S. Hamilton St., which was co-owned by Elite Leather President Michael Galardo. That building was sold in February to case goods and upholstery importer and manufacturer New Classic Home Furnishings.
"We have been showing at High Point for over 20 years now, but this will be our first time showing in the IHFC building since 1990," Galardo said. "We're happy to have found such a great space that's not only convenient for our buyers and spacious enough for our lines, but also the perfect environment for showcasing our designs."
He said styles from the company's domestically made Elite Leather signature collection, as well as the imported Passport Home collection, will be shown in the new space.
The spring market takes place April 2-7.
