HIGH POINT — Ismail Arslan, vice president of operations for fabric supplier De Leo Textiles, has been released from the hospital as he continues to recover from injuries from a car accident last week.
Arslan is a longtime resident of High Point and a native of Istanbul, Turkey, and is well known in the fabric and furniture industries for his knowledge of textiles and his international textile connections. He serves on the board of directors for the International Textile Market Assn.
A company spokesperson said the accident occurred in Florida, while Arslan was visiting relatives. His wife and teenage son also were involved, but sustained only minor injuries. Arslan received neck injuries, but is able to sit and walk. The family is being assisted by an adult son and his family who live in Jacksonville, the site of the accident.
"Our whole company's thoughts are with Ismail, and we are pleased that he is able to return home so quickly," said Craig De Leo, De Leo CEO. "Ismail is a valuable part of our management team, and I know he is eager to resume his participation with our company."
