Icon Honors 2011 seeks submissions, nominations

Winners to be announced at Atlanta market in July

ATLANTA — The Icon Honors 2011 is welcoming submissions and nominations from retailers, manufacturers, sales agents and service providers to compete for recognition in the home and gift industry's newest honors program.

Submissions may be made in three categories - Innovation, Contribution and Achievement - at the event's website at www.americasmarticonhonors.com.

Submissions and nominations will be independently evaluated by a panel of judges from the retail, manufacturing and design communities. Winning entries will be announced at the Icon Honors 2011 Celebration in Atlanta on July 14, during the Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market.

Notable in this year's competition are honors recognizing innovative technology applications, eco-friendly product packaging, licensed product innovations and sustainable business practices.

Home and gift industry retailers, manufacturers, sales agencies and service providers are eligible to compete in Icon Honors.

Submissions entered in competition for Innovation and Contribution honors must be for programs conducted and completed in 2010. The event submission and nomination form provides details on categories, criteria and deadlines and can be downloaded at www.americasmarticonhonors.com.

Sandow Media, parent company of Furniture/Today, is a partner of Icon Honors 2011.
