John Clark joins Boyd Specialty Sleep as regional VP

Will cover 10 southern states and western Pennsylvania

ST. LOUIS — Bedding veteran John Clark has been appointed to the new position of regional vice president of sales for Boyd Specialty Sleep and the company's Accent Furniture division.

Clark will be based in Winter Haven, Fla., and will be responsible for sales and sales development in 10 southern states, in addition to western Pennsylvania. He will report to Denny Boyd, president of Boyd Specialty Sleep.

"John has a wide-ranging background with primary experience in the mattress and food industries," said Boyd. "His expertise in marketing, sales and sales management will be very valuable to the further development of our southern region and the growth of our company overall."

Before joining Boyd, Clark was vice president of sales and marketing from for Southern Dreams, a Miami-based mattress producer, in 2009-2010. Previously, he was a sales and marketing executive for Paramount Bedding, the former Comfort Solutions/King Koil licensee in Norfolk, Va., and held management and ownership positions at two food companies.

Earlier, he spent almost 20 years with Sealy as a national account executive and territory manager based in the Southeast.
