Jordt Named VP of Sales, Marketing at Harounian

NEW YORK - Rug industry veteran Greg Jordt has joined Harounian Rugs in the newly created position of executive vice president of sales and marketing.
Jordt has 30 years of experience at both retail and wholesale, most recently as vice president of Miresco's wholesale division.
He previously worked as a buyer at department stores Burdines and J.L. Hudsons, as national merchandise manager at Ethan Allen and chief operating officer of Couristan.
In his new post, his responsibilities include working with current accounts and developing new national accounts, expanding the national sales force and developing new marketing strategies for the New Yorkbased importer and manufacturer of area rugs. He reports to David and Lee Harounian.
"David and I are very pleased to have Greg on our executive team," said Lee Harounian, the company's president. "He has worked hard throughout his career to build and maintain strong relationships with many of the top retailers in the country."
