Kingsdown's Sleep to Live program ends at Mattress Firm

Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, March 29, 2011

HOUSTON — Kingsdown's Sleep to Live diagnostic selling program at retailer Mattress Firm has ended, the companies announced.

The companies said they reached a mutual agreement that the current program was not meeting expectations and said they would like to take time to evaluate the experience before executing a new program.
"Sleep diagnostics remain an interesting strategy to differentiate Mattress Firm in the market place," said Craig McAndrews, vice president of merchandising for the bedding specialty retailer based in Houston. "Mattress Firm remains optimistic on opportunities in the future."

"We consider Mattress Firm as strategic partners and industry leaders," said Bob Hellyer, president of Kingsdown, a Top 10 bedding producer based in Mebane, N.C. "We look forward to our next endeavor with the Firm."
