Expanded Klaussner showroom includes new Solutions Studio

New High Point space opens at noon Thursday

Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, March 29, 2011

HIGH POINT — Upholstery manufacturer and case goods importer Klaussner Furniture is set to show all of its products, include its new Solutions Studio, in its new High Point Market showroom here.

The 90,000 square-foot showroom facility, Klaussner on Hamilton, at 101 N. Hamilton St. will display the company's domestically manufactured stationary and motion upholstery along with imported stationary and motion items, case goods, occasional tables, and Enso Sleep Systems memory foam mattresses.

"We are very excited to have a building that allows us to display all the capabilities of the company under one roof," said Bill Wittenberg, president and CEO. "We undertook a massive project with the overhaul of this building and our retail partners will find it to be easy to shop and very relaxing."

The showroom will open to customers at noon Thursday, March 31. A grand opening party will take place Saturday, April 2, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a ribbon-cutting taking place at 6:30 p.m.

Visitors to the showroom can see the new Klaussner Solutions Studio concept, which will occupy 5,000 square feet.

"The area will be set up just like it would be in a retail store," said Len Burke, vice president of merchandising. "Our goal is to allow dealers to see the multitude of solutions our company provides for them at retail and this space does just that."

The new studio will feature distinctive elements, signage and point-of-purchase materials, along with computerized enhancements from Micro-D for improving the customer's shopping experience. "This component of the studio was designed to simplify the selling process and increase closing rates on the retail floor," said Burke.

The Solutions Studio concept is scalable and designed so everything rolls off the truck and can be set up quickly, the company said, enhancing a dealer's store display and providing a store's sales team with an "easy to close" selling program.

The new showroom also will feature a buyers' lounge with free wifi throughout the space. The Klaussner Kafe will serve breakfast, lunch and evening cocktails and hors d'oeuvres.

Comfort Designs, a Klaussner company, also will show product in the new space. Comfort Designs, a medium-high end upholstery and motion line, will introduce several new products at the market.
