David King joins Martin Home Furnishings as VP of sales, marketing

Had been with Sitcom Furniture, Hamilton Spill

King fills a position vacated by Karl Eulberg, who left the company earlier this year to take a similar job at Bush Furniture.

King most recently was vice president of sales and marketing at Sitcom Furniture, where he had worked since July 2004. Before that, he was vice president of sales at Hamilton Spill.

At Martin, he reports to company President Ed Andrew. King will be responsible for developing sales and marketing strategies for the company's core brands, including Kathy Ireland Home by Martin, Curt Christian by Martin and Martin Home Furnishings.

In a statement, company CEO Gil Martin said King "is well regarded in the industry and has a great understanding of the retail marketplace as well as proven design skills. His depth and breadth of experience will be invaluable to us as we strive to continue growing sales in our office, entertainment and bedroom categories."
