MONCTION, New Brunswick — Jill Sadler has been named director of furniture store operations at Lounsbury Furniture, New Brunswick's largest furniture and appliance retailer.
Sadler will be responsible for the strategic direction of the five-unit chain as well as the day-today operations of the business, according to Larry Nelson, president and CEO of the Lounsbury Group of Companies, the retailer's parent firm.
"Under her leadership, Lounsbury Furniture Ltd. will focus on its commitment to enthusiastically serving its community by delivering exceptional quality, value and service," Nelson said in a statement.
This is Sadler's first job in the furniture, mattress and appliance retailing sector.
She was most recently associate director of marketing at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa, and has a decade of experience in marketing, brand management, sales and customer service in a variety of industries. In addition to its five furniture stores - three of which house Ashley Furniture Galleries - the Lounsbury group also operates five new car dealerships and two heavy truck centers in New Brunswick. The 132- year-old company employs some 400 people throughout the province.
