HIGH POINT — Upholstery and case goods producer Highland House will be back at the High Point Market with a second licensed collection inspired by Paul Burrell, English lifestyle expert, former butler and confidante of Princess Diana, and most recently Fox News royal correspondent.
The company said the new collection, Royal Manner II, Casual English Style, represents a more casual approach that will coexist with the company's already successful collection, Royal Manner: The English Country House. Pricing for the new collection will be in line with the first series of Royal Manner.
As with the first collection, Royal Manner II offers an eclectic array of upholstery, case goods and occasional pieces designed in the relaxed-but-elegant style of the English countryside. The collection is described as "sophisticated yet at the same time never uptight or overly stuffy, and the underlying theme is unmistakably English."
"Most country English homes have a certain eclectic, lived-in quality about them ... a characterful style that allows you and you guests to sit back, relax and be comfortable," said Parker Goss, president of Highland House.
"Additionally, these homes maintain an edge of casual elegance that is inherently and recognizably English. Most notably, we and Paul Burrell have taken great care with Royal Manner II to feature upholstery styles with simple,

clean lines and fabrics that display a similar casual approach to Englishstyle furniture. We feel Royal Manner II will resonate with sophisticated consumers of all ages," Goss said.
Royal Manner II includes seven new upholstered frames (many available in leather), and 11 case goods and occasional pieces.
Burrell lived and worked in some of the world's most elegant and beautifully furnished homes during his 21 years service to the British royal family. In his current on-camera role on Fox, he updates viewers on the wedding plans of Prince William and Kate Middleton, and on April 29 will report live from London on the royal wedding.
Burrell will appear on behalf of Highland House and Royal Manner II at a number of U.S. and Canadian furniture stores this year.
He also will be in High Point this week to speak to Highland House dealers and designers about the new collection - and will give guests an insider's view of royal weddings present and past - during the company's Pub Party on Saturday, April 2, in its Market Square showroom, space 414. The party is from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Burrell will speak at 6 p.m.
