HIGH POINT — An opening night reception with a runway fashion show will kick off the four-day Showtime fabric show here on Sunday, June 5.
An agenda of other social and educational events has been set for the International Textile Market Assn. exhibition, which runs through June 8.
The Sunday reception is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Century Courtyard at Market Square. Models will take to the catwalk in fashions created from the latest upholstery fabric designs by participating companies including Charles Martel, High 5, P/Kaufmann, Sunbrella, Victor Group and Valdese Weavers.
A second industry get-together will be Tuesday night, when Merchandise Mart Properties Inc. will sponsor the Showtime Social, held in the Suites at Market Square, Level One, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Educational events include "Inspirations for Swarovski Elements: Spring/Summer 2012," presented by Jane Matteson at 10 a.m. Monday and 2 p.m. Tuesday.
A second educational seminar, "Going Global ... Business Beyond Boarders, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday and 10 a.m. Tuesday. It is presented by OTEXA, Cargo Logistics Network and BB&T.
More than 800 buying companies attend Showtime, representing a broad range of industries, according to the ITMA.
