"Our company joined NWSID last year with the objective of building our relationships with the design trade in the Oregon market," said Sue Amos, a trade consultant with Paul Schatz, a third-generation, full-line furniture store in business since 1919.
"Our first event was a success with around 100 attending," she said. "We featured Hooker Furniture at the seminar, putting together a slide show previewing items they introduced at the recent High Point Market and a variety of current stylish products. Our speaker was Will Blanton, Hooker Furniture representative."
Other key vendors at the store include Stickley, Lexington Home Brands, Nichols & Stone and Drexel Heritage.
Paul Schatz also holds educational seminars for the public, with local artists, floral designers and the retailer's design staff giving presentations on accessorizing and other decorating ideas. The next event, "Finishing Touches," is scheduled for June 4.
