Patrick Smith joins Watkins & Shepard as national sales manager

HELENA, Mont. — Patrick Smith has been named national sales manager of Watkins & Shepard Trucking, a carrier of home furnishings and flooring products.

Smith, who will be based at the company's corporate office here, has more than 25 years experience in furniture transportation and logistics, including 20 years at North Carolina-based Cargo Consolidation Services. He also worked briefly for specialized furniture carrier Worldwide Logistics and had operated a logistics consulting business since 2009. He is a past president of the American Home Furnishings Alliance suppliers division.

In his new post, Smith will oversee sales and business development and will serve as a liaison between the operations, pricing and sales teams.

"Pat has the right experience to keep our sales and operations staff focused on providing the best service in the industry, which has always been our goal," said Ray Kuntz, CEO of Watkins & Shepard.

Watkins & Shepard has more than 1,500 trailers and 1,000 employees at 19 U.S. locations.
