Bob's Discount Furniture's D.C.-area grand openings set for May 26
Stores are in Hyattsville, Md., and Falls Church, Va.

MANCHESTER, Conn. — Bob's Discount Furniture will kick off the grand opening of its first two Washington, D.C.-area stores with ribbon cutting ceremonies May 26, music, fun activities and donations to local schools.The Top 100 company is opening two stores, each about 30,000 square feet, in Hyattsville, Md., and Falls Church, Va., in a move that will bring the Manchester, Conn.'s-based retailer's store count to 42 and is expected to add about 120 jobs.
Grand opening festivities will run through the Memorial Day weekend.
Through its Bob's Outreach program, the retailer will donate $10,000 to six elementary, middle and high schools in the Hyattsville area and the same amount to six schools in Falls Church.
