SALT LAKE CITY — R.C. Willey has promoted Todd Boothe to vice president of merchandise, a new position, company President Jeff Child announced.
Boothe joined the retailer - part of Berkshire Hathaway's furniture division - in 1992 as a sales manager at its Syracuse, Utah, store. He later transferred to the South Salt Lake store and was promoted to assistant store manager there in 1995.
Boothe served in the same position at R.C. Willey's Riverdale, Utah, store before being named general manager of its Boise, Idaho, store in 1999.
"Throughout the company Todd has built a reputation of community involvement, aggressive merchandising and innovative ideas," the company said in a release.
"We look forward to Todd bringing his experience and talents into our corporate offices ... working with buyers, marketing department and the stores," said Scott Hymas, CEO of the 13-store company.
