Upholstery maker Meadowbrook files Chapter 7

HICKORY FLAT, Miss. — Promotional stationary upholstery maker Meadowbrook Furniture filed Chapter 7 bankruptcy in U.S. Bankruptcy Court Tuesday, listing assets of $1,762,216 and liabilities of $1,805,218.
The voluntary petition lists 119 unsecured creditors, the largest being foam supplier Confortaire, owed $452,024; Mississippi Business Finance Corp., $194,000; STI Fabrics & Trim, $112,212; Stein Fibers, $81,865; and Morgan Fabrics, $49,287. Most claims were under $25,000.
Revenues for the company filed in court documents revealed company sales were $8,688,117 in 2009; $6,895,056 in 2010; and $1,048,820 at the time of filing Tuesday.
