Honors
American Furniture Hall of Fame

HIGH POINT - The American Furniture Hall of Fame Foundation honored former president Don Belgrad for his years of service to the organization at its recent board meeting here.
"Don has an amazing and demonstrated ability to bring many views together and to make things happen, which only he can do because he is so highly respected and liked by all who know him," said Jeff Cook, foundation president. "For the Hall of Fame, Don gave selflessly of his time to serve not just one term but two terms as president."
Under Belgrad's leadership, the foundation conducted a strategic planning session that will affect the Hall of Fame for years, launched the publication of oral histories, created a website and pushed for researching and writing the first comprehensive history of the furniture industry. The organization also substantially increased memberships and sponsorships.
