Rob Killgore named COO at Sleep Train

Bedding retailer also announces several other executive, sales promotions

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Sleep Train has promoted Rob Killgore, formerly its senior executive vice president, to chief operating officer with responsibility for strategic planning and daily operations of the Sacramento-based mattress retailer and its nearly 1,200 employees.

Killgore started with Sleep Train 25 years ago, working as a delivery driver part time while attending California State University Sacramento.

Sacramento-based Sleep Train also promoted Diane Hanratty to director of human resources, Brett Thornton to director of training and development; Mark Tseu to vice president of information technology, Gina Davis to director of branding, Hernani Alves to enterprise vice president of retail sales, Matt Jessell to vice president of alternative channel sales, Darin Edwards to director of operations training and Mike Lavelle to enterprise vice president of strategic plan execution.

Additionally, Sleep Train announced a number of regional leadership promotions, including Scott Higgins to regional vice president of Southern California sales, Brian Fifield to regional vice president of Northern California sales, Scott Murphy to regional vice president of California operations, Mike Estes to regional vice president of Pacific Northwest sales and Bob Young to regional vice president of Pacific Northwest operations.
