Lisa Mellet joins Caber Sure Fit as VP of sales

MARKHAM, Ontario — Caber Sure Fit has named Lisa Mellet vice president of sales, a new position for the provider of products including slipcovers, mattress protectors and furniture and appliance protection plans.

Mellet, who succeeds Marc de Grave, was vice president of sales and marketing at Husky Food Inc., a Toronto-based importer and distributor of fine foods. She has almost 20 years of national sales and marketing experience in Canada, most of it in the food and drug industry.

In announcing the appointment, Caber Sure Fit President Bernard Weinstein said the company has grown in recent years, adding clients, distribution channels and product lines. That prompted the move into a larger headquarters here last year as well as the restructuring of its senior management team.

"With our acquisition of Sure Fit Slipcovers, alongside our longtime exclusive distributorship of all Protect-A-Bed products and our BedCare Complete Mattress Protection Kit, we needed a senior executive to develop unique sales strategies," Weinstein said in a statement.

Her appointment complements the company's recent addition of Christine Ufniak as vice president of marketing and innovation.

Mellet said, "I look forward to leading the sales team of dynamic professionals and growing the Sure Fit brand to become a household name across the country."
