Carpenter's SleepBetter.Org wins online Webby Awards

RICHMOND, Va. — Carpenter Co. and its SleepBetter.org website recently received two Webby Awards for the company's online marketing efforts. Carpenter helped celebrate its success by streaming the awards program live from its Facebook page.SleepBetter's video "2 Guys, 600 Pillows," a commissioned work by Rhett & Link, won the Webby for its category and the also won a people's voice award.
"SleepBetter.org and its multi-platform social media presence has been the center of our ongoing campaign to engage Americans about their sleep," said Dan Schecter, vice president of consumer products at Carpenter Co. and creator of SleepBetter.org. "The video Rhett & Link created for us has played a large part in the elevation of our brand but more importantly has spread our core message of getting better sleep to whole new audiences."
The "2 Guys" video has been viewed 4.2 million times on YouTube.
Time Magazine described the Webby awards as "the online Oscars." This year's winners included brands like YouTube, ESPN, The New York Times, Google, Yahoo! Inc, Dow Jones & Company, CNN and AOL.
