Retired furniture sales rep Rawley Speir dies at 70

Before retiring, he worked in sales for the E.I. DuPont photographic division, Bernhardt Furniture, Burlington House Furniture, Singer Furniture, Troutman Chair and Lane Action. He was a manufacturer's representative in Tennessee, Kentucky and North Carolina.
He is survived by his wife, a son, a brother and a sister.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Tellico Village Community Church, 130 Chota Center, Loudon, Tenn. 37774 or a charity of one's choice.
A memorial service will take place at the church, where Speir was a longtime member, at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 19.
