San Francisco, California -- Michael Taylor Designs is pleased to announce the addition of new designs and finishes to the Riviera Collection of outdoor furniture by award-winning San Francisco interior designer Suzanne Tucker. Suzanne worked side-by-side with the legendary Michael Taylor, whose now iconic “California Look” took the design world by storm. Often referred to as his protégée, Suzanne has interpreted Taylor’s mastery of scale and proportion, as well as his love for the clean lines and perfect pitch of classic 18th century furniture, into a timeless and elegant outdoor furniture collection suitable for a wide variety of design styles. The Riviera Collection by Suzanne Tucker for Michael Taylor Designs pays homage to the chic yet casual lifestyle of Santa Barbara – her hometown, often referred to as the Riviera of the West.

The Riviera Collection features a unique combination of teak - now available in 15 gorgeous weather-proof finishes – and handwoven easy-care resin wicker, dyed to mimic the random colorations of real wicker, available in Natural and the brand new Seagrass color. The seating pieces have an aluminum substrate frame, powder coated to offer protection and to withstand various weather conditions. Collection additions include the new Riviera cast-stone dining base with round or rectangular top, a design that truly pays homeage to Michael Taylor’s signature use of stone and wood. Also new is the Riviera sectional, an assortment of seating pieces allowing for varied configurations as well as the Riviera dining arm chair, dining side chair, barstool and loveseat.

In addition, new colorways were added to the California Collection of outdoor textiles by Suzanne Tucker for Michael Taylor Designs. This timeless and elegant collection embodies a chic and casual design aesthetic with a broad range of easy-care outdoor solids, stripes, textures and patterns. All outdoor designs will be available at Michael Taylor Designs representatives across the country.

Michael Taylor Designs, Inc. was launched in 1985 to market the high-end residential furniture Taylor had designed or collected.
